If you know your Dorper from your Dorset Horn, or your Drysdale from your Perendale, it's likely you may be at Sheepvention in Hamilton (Western Victoria) this Monday and Tuesday. Guess what? I'll be there too, not for the sheep though. I'll be flogging my wares in stall number 372, Trade marquee 2.

Hopefully I'll be so busy i wont get a chance to check out the rams, wool fashion parade or new inventions, which is a shame because the last time I was there I found it really interesting.

Emma will be having a ball with her Nanny and Pop, enjoying the country air and I'm sure she'll be thoroughly spoilt. So western Victorians, pop in and say 'Hello', I know you've always wanted an excuse to visit Sheepvention!

Has anyone noticed that the blog has had a facelift? What do you think?

To celebrate the new look blog, I'm having a GIVEAWAY. Up for grabs is the fabulous crochet bunting pictured in the last post, made by ME!
To be in the running you must be a mailing list subscriber and forward this e-mail onto a friend by clicking the link on the bottom of the page. Simple.
The more friends you forward to, the more entries you receive (no spamming please).
Your friends can enter too, they just need to become a subscriber and forward to their friends...and so it goes.

No need to tell me, I'll know. I'm very clever ;)

I'll draw the prize on the 18th of August - Open to Australian residents only

You can subscribe via the link on the e-mail or below

Thank you Tax man...

I've had this idea for crochet bunting bouncing around in the back of my mind for around 6-8 months...the motivation to get things moving was having to do my taxes. I always find myself easily distracted around EOFY tax time, but for me procrastination usually equals, inspiration.
Do you like it? I'll be making an assortment of colours to sell on Poppet in the Post, but I thought you may want to try making it yourself. Would anyone out there be interested in buying the pattern if I write one? (Under $5 if you were wondering...)

PS. looks like no one is embracing their mess...oh well.

At my house...

I'm always suspicious of blogs that post beautiful photos of immaculate corners in their homes...
because we all know (or really hope) that the zoom out shot is like this one!
So Lou wanted to know what was going on at my house this week...
I would love to say that my house is always beautifully organised and I am the very picture of Domestic Goddessness, but the reality is that my house is usually a big giant mess. I have so much to do right now that I'm almost paralysed to do anything at all...
So instead of ironing, organising my taxes, getting ready for 2 markets etc...I thought I'd just go and pick some flowers. I love living in my own world of denial. I'm hoping Pixies will do some tidying up eventually...
So in the mean time I'm embracing my mess, why don't you embrace yours? It will make us all feel better. Leave your name and a link to your Big Mess...

Fireflies and fairy wings...

Without a tripod, a perfect shot of the stunning Hong Kong skyline is next to impossible. But who needs perfect when you can have pretty.

Hello Kitty...

So to say 'they love Hello Kitty in Hong Kong' is a massive understatement! She was everywhere, even graffiti...I couldn't resist getting Emma some cute Hello Kitty tights (not pictured) but that's where I stopped, with difficulty. I was fascinated by these folded paper sculptures, watch this space if you want to make some of your own...
