Teeny weeny...

I really can't get enough of these super cute kewpie dolls. This one is a tiny 2.5cm tall. Would look great as cupcake toppers at a baby shower. Get them online now, no postage charge when added to another purchase.

Tune up...

These little wooden cars work pretty hard scooting around the shop all day, and at $4 each they mostly zoom out the door. The ones that remain check into the local mini car garage at night for a tune-up and detail...

Late...

I've been planing to post this nice photo of my 'new' Flea market finds for the last couple of weeks now. A little bit late since 2 of the 3 items are already sold, but not to worry, a nice little vignette to admire...
If only I could be witty and creative and make up a cute little story linking these three items...Maybe you could have a go...

Chalk n Cheese Winter 2010

Have just uploaded most of the new winter pieces by Chalk n Cheese onto Poppet in the Post. Some really cool stuff. Me thinks these will fly out the door. Am loving the denim dress with the ruffles on the sleeve designed to fray with wear.
Proudly made in Melbourne, supporting local industry.
And now is the perfect time to put your winter purchases in Lay-By, pay in instalments and pick it up as the weather gets cooler. No missing out on sizes either. A win-win situation!
Can't get into the shop? We can organise lay-by over the phone and post it out later...

To Russia with Love...

Madeline from Cherry Stew has done it again. Check out this beautiful red cord pinni...She calls it the Babushka Dress, because the bubble skirt makes the lucky wearer look just like a life size Babushka doll.
A very limited production of these available, start at size 0, (which look super cute) up to a 3.

Hey Bambini...Baby friendly cafe reviews

It's hard enough finding a good cafe to frequent, let alone one that is baby friendly. But the guys over at Hey Bambini have just made or lives a lot easier. Just pick the area you'll be dining in and they have rated the best baby friendly places in that area.
Just Melbourne at the moment, but other cities soon to follow...you can even write a review.
Now if only My Poppet had a cool baby friendly place next door...I'd see you guys all the time!

Elmer...

Remember Elmer? The colourful elephant who tried to blend into the crowd...until it rained! One of my favorite stories as a child. So when I saw that Vilac was doing these fantastic Elmer puzzle blocks, I had to get some for the shop. Now you must promise to let the kids play with them too... Available online now...

Sneak Peek...

A sneak peek (as promised) of the folk inspired new season range, currently in my sewing room...with more to come I hope. Influenced by this lovely guy...
No sewing today though, too hot in there, literally a 'sweat shop'!

I've succumbed!

Ok, so I'm on twitter now. But because I'm a stubborn cow and got in too late someone is already using MyPoppet as their twitter name, (umph!!!) so I want your opinion.

Should I use MyPoppetShop or My_Poppet as a twitter name? I've registered MyPoppetShop for the time being...

Or maybe you have another suggestion?

It's currently http://twitter.com/MyPoppetShop - so follow along...if you're not sick of me by now...

PS. more of these little cuties in stock now...

Joli...
