Feeling folky...

Jo did such a lovely job of re-merchandising the shop the other day with a Russian folk theme, I thought I'd give Poppet in the Post the same treatment...

These Russian doll brooches are my favorite at the moment...look how well it co-ordinates with this oilcloth pouch.

Possessed...

Can't - stop - sewing...Is it rude to sew while you have visitors? Is a bit of after dinner crafting weird? Mr Cinti was rolling his eyes, but the guests seemed to be quite entertained watching my progress. This is what i made. I quite liked how they came up on my first try, I might make a pair for the baby...

Bushfire Heartbreak - ways to help...

Pip at Meet me at Mikes has put together an excellent list of links of ways to help those families who's lives have been devastated by the Victorian bushfires. Please donate time, money, blood or goods if you can. Blood donations are urgently needed, if you aren't already a regular blood donor, now is the time to register. Maybe even get a group of friends or work mates together and donate as a group. Being a regular blood and plasma donor myself, it upsets me that i can't donate while I'm pregnant.
Cash donations are also urgently needed, most major bank branches and Bunnings stores are accepting donations.

Nesting...

I've been feeling the urge to sew lately, must be that 'nesting' instinct that kicks in when you're preggers. No urge to clean, do the dishes or the laundry, just sewing...Mr Cinti is not too impressed, 'apparently' clean dishes/underwear/towels are more important than super cute ruffly pants and baby play toys. MEN!??
Check out Poppet in the Post for more of my recent creations...
