More Japanese cuteness...

I've finally managed to find some time to string up these gorgeous Japanese paper animal balloons. They make a great mobile strung from a coat hanger or embroidery hoop.
The world globes have been popular on Poppet in the Post, so I thought I'd list these as well.
My favorite is the Monkey and the Panda. And if you're into cats, they come in assorted colours/characters with distinctive Japanese cartoon styling. If you order more than one cat, I will send different colours.

Party time...

This week's window has really brightened up the place. Lots of people seem to be having birthday parties at the moment, must be the change in the weather. I thought these novelty Japanese fans would make great party favours as an alternative to the 'lolly bag'.

$5.50 each, as well as the goldfish, and panda, I also have frog, kitten and mushroom ones.

Melamine cups are back in stock, they sold out in less than a week last time. I have put them onto Poppet in the Post. Some colours are limited so if you're keen, don't wait too long or you may miss out.

Coat hangers, Red wagons and general ramblings...

Coat hangers...the bane of my existence at the moment. I know it all sounds a bit trivial, there are bigger problems in the world, but no matter how many hangers I have, it just never seems to be enough! I have the same problem at home, but at least there every thing finds its rightful place on the floor!
Now I have so much fantastic spring/summer stock coming in and no where to put it, any suggestions?
Red Wagons...seem to be the theme at the shop today. Apart from having these fantastic little red mini wagons in store ( and on Poppet in the Post), I not long ago received a delivery of wagon themed outfits made from super cute 50's esque fabric.Redwagon dress $49.95 (sizes 1,3,4)
Red wagon top $44.95 (sizes 0,2, 3, 4), matching skirt $49.95 (sizes 2 to 6)
I love the little trim and ruffle details on the skirt.
General ramblings...One of the most FAQ I get at the shop is 'Does this come in pink?' The answer is usually 'No', but sometimes I make an exception. This is the only pink dress I've ordered this summer, I've got a feeling they'll sell pretty quickly.
Pink party dress, sizes 1 to 4 $74.95

To Russia with love...

Bit of a Russian theme happening over at Poppet in the Post at the moment...
It's taken me all day but I've managed to load quite a nice selection of products, lots more to come. I've also added a Melbourne Made section, a great idea, if I do say so myself!

Sad...and Happy too!

I've finally bitten the bullet and decided to open a real online shop to replace the Poppet in the Post blog. I'm a bit sad because I really liked the whole concept, but alas, I must adapt! The new online shop is still called Poppet in the Post, but the difference is you can use Paypal to pay for purchases immediately online. I have 5 products up at the moment and will slowly be adding more and more each day. I am interested to see how the initial trial works, so go ahead and give it a go. I am still more than happy to take over the phone orders or EFT payments like before. Here is the link - Poppet in the Post (new and improved)

All prices are in Australian dollars and at this stage it will only calculate postage for Australian customers - please contact me if you need and overseas shipping quote.

Like a tiger...grrr...

I'm loving these insulated lunch bags, not only do they keep your lunch cool (or warm) but they open up to become a wipeable place mat. At only $19.95 each they make a perfect birthday present. I'm sure that there are a few Richmond supporters out there that wouldn't mind taking their half time snacks in the Tiger one!

Woodland Park Folk...

One of my favorite softie makers is having a solo exhibition of her fantastic work. I was lucky enough to receive an owl of my very own along with an invitation to the show. The show is at Hudson in Balaclava, which is only just down the road from me. So stop in to visit me if you go there, or vice versa. Details here on Jhoanna's blog .

Her work will be for sale at the exhibition, but if you miss out, I have one of her Peg Bears here, he is looking for a good home as his friends have been adopted already.

Fiesta time!

My window is so cheering me up today... I feel like I'm at a Mexican Fiesta...You don't really see enough fluorescent pink cats around these days, so kitschy I love it!
Melamine cups in a rainbow of colours, beautiful quality only $5.95 each. Don't mean to name drop but guess
who grabbed these right out of my hands as i was unpacking the box? Pull along pink cat and ducky, made in Poland (probably for the last 35 years at least) $24.95 each.

Mexican oil cloth Bunting is weather resistant and can happily live out doors all summer, $46.95 for about 5m
...Mmmm...is anyone else getting a craving for nachos?
